Lauren Levey, MSPO, CPO, has been with Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics (now a specialty division of OrthoPediatrics) for 8 years, based at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. After studying Biomedical Engineering at Ohio State University, Lauren received a Master's in O&P from Georgia Tech, followed by residency training at Chidlren's Healthcare of Atlanta and University of Michigan O&P Center. Lauren's passions and specializations, aside from all things pediatric, include Orthotic treatment of complex lower limb deformities, Spina Bifida, and pediatric prosthetics. Being at CHOP, Lauren has a special affinity for challenging presentations and complex cases that require inventive problem solving, multidisciplinary teamwork, and creative innovations.

Program Items
Participants obtain a comprehensive understanding of the treatment of patients with spina bifida from infancy to young adulthood. They learn about conservative and surgical treatment strategies as well as physiotherapy, orthopaedic, neurological and rehabilitative considerations, patient care and supplementary orthopaedic measures. Experts from paediatric hospitals and orthopaedic technology institutions in the USA and Germany present innovative clinical treatment approaches and examine specific patient pathologies.
