The process of digital measuring demands a precise and reproducible production process. A milled last with large clamping points on the counter of the last renders the 3D foot scan data unusable. It is therefore important that all processes in digital last manufacturing align with each other and are carried out with the highest accuracy and reproducibility.

Reproducibility has been the starting point for PLT to develop its own last milling machine in-house. From the initial sketch to the final product.

The clamping off the wood in the machines takes place on the plantar side (forefoot) of the last. Since there is no clamping on the counter portion of the last, we maintain the natural shape of the last, which is crucial for a proper fit product. 

We manufacture supplements exclusively double-sided with digitally drawn roll-off. We work with high-quality EVA materials that have excellent rebound properties. In addition, we have added 100% cork to our range, a sustainable natural product!
