Hyperion - Therapy against phantom limb pain for low mobility levels
Hyperion was developed as treatment option for phantom limb pain for people with low mobility level. Even without active walking, Hyperion can be used to provide peripheral sensitivity to the amputation stump, which has been proven to relieve phantom limb pain.

Hyperion consists of a cuff with two vibration motors, which is attached to the amputation stump. The actuators are activated with the app, which allows so-called event-triggered stimulation. A virtual foot in the app moves and the corresponding motor vibrates at the same time. This activates the foot that is no longer there and restores sensation. Regular use trains the existing or generates a phantom limb map. The vibration stimulation reduces phantom pain and thus increases the quality of life.
