With the LUNAneo1, we present the first myoelectric exoskeleton for the upper limb that can be worn under clothing. It is designed for users with limited functionality in the arm and hand area, in particular, to compensate for paralyses caused by stroke and plexus injuries. State-of-the-art sensor technology recognises and interprets the myoelectric signals from the muscles for simple control. The exoskeleton reacts intuitively to the users movement intentions and executes them with the help of powerful micromotors in the elbow and hand area. One of the most important features of the new exoskeleton is its light and slim design, which is adapted to the body, as well as its low weight, allowing it to be worn for extended periods of time. By using VR, users of the exoskeleton can practise controlling and handling the assistance system efficiently in a wide variety of scenarios.
